I gotta agree with you on that Darkprinny, I don't think anyone's played a game with girls in it and not ogled them at some point or another (lol anytime we play TimeSplitters: Future Perfect we usually throw a comment around about
Jo Beth Casey and her comically oversized breasts and shirt with "SL*T" printed across it) not to mention some notable others like
Ada Wong from Resident Evil 4 (actually just about all the main characters in that game were beautifully scupltured) or even
Jill Valentine in Resident Evil Remake. Even my sister thinks they look hot.
It's a fact, the characters of video games are designed to be very visually appealing. Would you want to play as some ugly looking individual? (although this is highly contextual).
The same can be said for anime characters; they are designed to be visually appealing. Anyone who has watched anime cannot say the thought has not crossed their mind when they saw Sakura from Naruto, or even Asuka or Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion (if there's any EVA fans among us) because they are designed to be very attractive; any guy is able to acknowledge this, and there isn't anything wrong with acknowledging this, as you are simply stating it as it is and it doesn't make you a "freak" just because you think someone's good looking.
As far as Hentai goes, I can't say I get off on it anymore. I used to like it alot back in the early years of highschool when the whole concept of "sex" and "pornography" was new to me, but after highschool when I started getting out and meeting girls and whatnot, I just subconciously shifted away from it. I much prefer the real deal nowadays; I find real women more attractive, as hentai really doesn't do much for me anymore.
I suppose, as far as hentai as a preference goes, people who enjoy it are more imaginative in their ways of thinking and are very visual and somewhat open minded about it too. I suppose that's why I liked it so much when I was younger, I had a wild imagination and hentai helps to satisfy that. I still have quite a wild imagination but now I have found different avenues of channeling that imagination, as my interests have changed.
So for all you hentai fans out there, don't feel shamed by it. Throughout history anything interesting was contraversial at first as it was something new and unseen before. In a few years it'll be commonplace. Even though it doesn't do anything for me, I feel like I understand why people who like it do.
