I prefer dubbed, but Napalmbrains right about them changing the plot and what not. I just enjoy an anime better if I don't have to read, but if the dubbing is just horrible and annoying I'd ask for subtitles

yeah like naruto-how they skip out all the blood bits and instead just show different scenes.

Like a lot of ppl have said, dubs if they are done well. to be honest sometimes subs seem weird to me because animes always have white, non-asian ppl and ther speakin japanese.

I know that sounds retarded, I've watched some subs though and I don't mind reading the subtitles.

There was sme funny moments like that in Azumanga daioh
"IT NO GOOD HES GERMAN"

And theres a British person in Ichigo Mashraro (sp)

I find it amusing how all foreigners in animes can always speak not only fluent Japanese, but they can speak it in a Japanese accent.

I prefer dub, because i don't really like reading, and it strains my eyes.

Same can be said for Subed as well..

Example: Kuwabara in Yu Yu hakusho in subs sounds like a whiney Wuss with a really irritating voice.
In the Dub version he still sounds like a Wuss but not as whiny and not as annoying as in the Sub version.

Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho sound way too much like a girly-man, and puts too must effort in the compassion and timid feel.
In the Dub he doesn’t have the Girly-man like voice but still has the compassion and timid feel.

Out of all the VA’s in the Sub in my option id say there the worst in Sub

Well Kenshins voice (Rurouni kenshin) makes him sound a bit girly in the Jap voiceover
But alass the USA voiceovers went exactly that good (why is there a person that sounds like shes from Texas workin in Japan ?)
But alass this conversation is startin to go round in a big round thing way

Subs help you learn the language a bit ;o

Another bad point about dubs is that they tend to miss out on Japanese puns. Often the translation is some awkward equivalent that makes little or no sense in English.

True enough but that’s what the Uncut&Uncensored DVD's are for. And why would FUNimation want to put it on a kids tv network when One piece is more or less for Teens and up, so it makes better sense if they put in on late night Toonami or after noon. Or Adult Swim where the editing and FCC regulations are much thinner, granted they might want to have a younger adenine see it in the morning as well but then they will have to do some major edits all over just to reach the FCC regulation standards for early morning viewing.
