But I whouldnt call my self a fan being the fact that I like Dragonball (as in the first saga)and think that Dragonballz made simple fights to long

The movies aren't that bad, except for Bio-Broly, Broly: The Second Coming, and Path To Power (... for a Summarization of Dragon Ball, it sure got a hell of a lot of stuff wrong.)

The fights were only so long (ex: Frieza Vs. Goku over 10 eps of fighting) because they were forced to convert 12-14 pages of content, into 19-23 minutes of footage, plus the Anime was running right alongside the Manga releases..

Any other Anime that was transitioned from Manga to Anime (under the same circumstances as Dragon Ball Z), would experience the same treatment of expansion (extra talking, extra unnecessary movement). So I wouldn't really count that as a negative towards the show, since there was nothing they could do about it. Which also explains the excess of flashbacks, and the excessive amount of dialog.

Yeah, I remember reading about that somewhere, said he passed out yelling Kamehameha for SSJ3 Goku, because he had to deepen the tone of his voice for it.

Yep, the expanded amount of dialog and yelling is because they couldn't have the Anime running ahead of the Manga, because Akira Toriyama was still writing the script for both the Manga & Anime at the same time.

Hmm, which also explains why there's a tad bit of plot holes in Dragon Ball Z as well. Oh well, everyone makes mistakes.

DBZ = One of the best animes ever!

I know everything about the show, plus only god knows if this Live Action Movie is actually gonna be good. Look at Transformers, it was a cartoon but they made a really good movie out of it.

Plus with the scripting for the show i remember that they stretched each episode DRASTICALLY! I laughed when i look back and remember Freiza saying the planet will blow up in 5 minutes and then about 10 episodes later it does.

FUNimation fixed the cut bits with an Uncut release (including Saiyan & Namek Sagas), but yet there are still some slight plot holes later on in the Frieza Saga (in both English & Japanese), especially with the Bardock flashback (course, that's more of a blooper that went unfixed three times).

Yeah, but that's different... Transformers were basically Robots, and super realistic CGI Robots mixed with Live-Action isn't hard to pull off with todays technology. But with Dragon Ball Z, that's a different story... Live-Action DBZ at best would just look like a bunch of people doing cosplay with special-effects.... much like that Sailor Moon Live-Action.

I'd rather they do it entirely in CGI, like FF7: Advent Children or something like that, or even keeping it as Anime would be good enough.

I beg to differ . In my honest opinion, the better Manga/Anime to Live-Action transition, would have to be Nodame Cantabile. Man I love that show, downright hilarious.

Dragon Ball Z is basically my favourite show/anime of all time. I loved every saga, even the original Dragon Ball and for the most part, GT.

My favourite saga would either have to be Cell or Majin Buu. Character wise, my favourites would be Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, Future Trunks and Broly.
