I just saw that one earlier. It didn't help that it was followed by an episode which can easily be described as "filler" (the bookstore episode). In fact the series as a whole is a bit too tedious. What could have been a great 13 part series instead seems to drag on for 23.

To me i catagorize anime to "noob anime" to "anime"
Noob anime being Naruto,One Piece,Bleach,Ones everybody sees
Anime would be like ones you DONT see in Shonen Jump or on AS such as Keroro Gunso,Ergo Proxy,and maybe Gin Tama just to name some

Oh Wow, almost lost my morning coffee while reading that.....

So an Anime suddenly becomes a "Noob Anime" once more people watch it? Where the hell do you get that from? Just because some hit the Mainstream doesn't mean it becomes unwatchable or "Noobish"(whatever you mean by that)

I personally don't watch Naruto, Bleach or One Piece, However I did watch them and I enjoyed the fact that other people were watching them, it made for great lunch time conversation during my school days.

So I don't know if you're just trying to be unique, but you should get over it and understand that some Anime are great regardless of whether or not they are watched by everyone.
