What anime are you watching at the moment?

Iv started watching Black Cat(ep2). Seems alright so far. I was discussing with the person that told me to watch it that the 1 thing I dont like about it is when they go from joking around to serious, when they change theirs faces and stuff and make it more childish, im sure you know what i mean. Anyway, i dont really like that in an anime, but the person that told me about Black Cat said that every anime is like that. As you can tell im new to watching anime's (only watched DN), so is this true in most animes? And could anyone rabble off a few animes that dont have the serious to no serious swapping so quickly.

That bugs me a bit as well (it gets really annoying in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which constantly shifts tone from horror to comedy).

It is fairly common, but no, not every anime does that. More serious anime such as Ghost in the Shell, Monster, and Texhnolyze avoid that sort of thing (although Texhnolyze never stops being serious, even for a moment).

Ok awesome. Yeah iv heard you talking about Monster awhile ago, looked into it, and ill get around to watching it. Do you know what its called Nap? (when they swap tones)

You mean when the art changes and the characters look more "cartoony" after a joke? I don't think there's really a name for it (if Monsteroids were still around here he could probably link to some page on the TVTropes wiki about it).

My first thought was "What the hell?"
The second half of the series really changed

Shame the ending of that seres was kinda "What the hell?" as well

There doesn't seem to be any subs out yet, but they should hopefully be out within the next few days.

I've started watching Le Portrait de Petit Cossette. It seems a bit like Higurashi, but with more gore (yes, more gore).
