FUNimation now has One Piece That’s right 4Shame lost the Dubbing rights to One Piece and now FUNimation is going to release Uncut Uncensored DVD’s this May. They already have Movie 8 in stores

Didn’t see anyone taking about this I saw an old One Piece thread but no one was talking about it.

So lets make this the One Piece Thread

I’m so glad the 4Shame lost the right to this Anime they were really messing it up big time.

People still watch the dub of One piece

Why ?
The sub is the only way to watch it and there way ahead (ep 350 I think)

Tell me aside from watching it illegally!! On YouTube or other various websites, where can we or I watch it? And don’t get me stared with buying it from Japan and get it subbed that way, I did that with Naruto and the subs sucked big time. They called Gaara “I love” in kept misspelling lots and I mean lots of words and the grammar was very poor. I’m mostly happy because now we will be able to Get the DVD and see it subbed by better subbers or Dubbed when it comes out. Not to mention FUNimation has way better Dubbers then 4shame. Also I like to see my Anime in Both Sub and Dub not just Sub.

Man i used to love this show in english until they changed their voices now i freaking hate the show the voices aren't right anymore

Its only illeagal if its been licenced (a lot of the stuff I watch is unlikely to get licenced eg Minami-ke, Bamboo blade, Shigurui, Kaiji )
One piece has only been liceneced up to a certain point
And the DVDs realesed tend to have a hand full of episodes
I do did tend to buy DVDs but when they get cheeky and put two episodes on a disc (see Cowboy bebops last two discs for why )
(see the term no job id like to buy more but dont have the cash)
Also look at what happens with seris
They realse them all seprately then just before the last disc they bring out a box set (for most) kinda makes you feel ripped off
If you buy the proper DVDs from Japan they wont be subbed in English
Ive seen some "official" subs of some anime and to tell you the truth they stink (no explinations of certain terms)

Not the fabled Daibattos (sp) subs
There only prob is there trolls that they keep doin
And there are countless of other good subbers (some stop when they come out on DVD)
You must of watched one of the lesser subbers or any of those £1 + a lot for postage DVDs off ebay (I got one or two and there terrible)

Well I really didn’t like any but one Zoro's he's voice was great in the 4Shame version but if it wasn’t for all the Puns he had to say it wouldn’t of killed his character.

FUNimation has already announced it’s going to release 13eps ep DVD for like 39.00 thats actually a great deal. Because as you said 4 or 2 ep for 20.00 dollars inset really a good deal but 13 for 39.00 is a great deal also from what I heard there box sets will contain about 80-100ep’s

That still works out expensive considerin the Naruto box sets (damn nepthew)
Cowboy bebop -£15 - 4 episodes or less (when first out)
Naruto (been told there uncut know they have the Japansie op) - £15 - 13 episodes (ditto)

But with a anime thats longer than long cat (thats long) you will spend more on selfs

that’s why I’m more than likely to get the box sets if the to save some money but if I really want (if I cant wait) then it I’ll just end up buying the 13ep sets.

If each 4 or 2 ep disk cost 20.00 add 4,4,4 that’s 60.00+tax for just 12ep
With the 39.00 amount its like getting 5eps free but on a cost stand point I do see what you mean.

All I’m saying is that FUNimation knows how long this Anime is and they know that just 4 or 5 or less episodes per disk for 30.00 or 20.00 dollars just won’t cut it, do to the length of the anime so there going to make them 13 or more episodes DVD’s for 39.00 at a time.
