I just watched the first three episodes last night of a new anime called Library Wars that's just coming out in Japan. I... am not entirely sure what to think, which is why I'm hoping someone else here has seen it! It's really good, in my opinion, though incredibly bizarre.

The basic premise is that the government has formed a group to cleanse the media (books) for some reason, a la Farenheit 451, and in response librarians have banded together to form a group to protect books. Basically, the librarians are trained in both dewey decimal and intense combat. It's... as I said, very weird.

Anyone else watching this?
