there's also the extremely loved and hated series Naruto. you either love it or you hate it, there never seems to be a middle ground.

same stuff for Bleach. love or hate

I don't trust any list that says Moribito is better than Cowboy Bebop.

It kinda gose off what anime is rated higher

IE X anime gets one score at 10 is over Y anime that gets 20 at 9

But its a gudie really
The top ten is not a top ten animes ever

Wow no one has said any of these 10/10 animes yet

Elfen Lied
Spice and wolf
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (deemed the most epic anime ever, it is)

These are all short series anime. Elfen Lied is only 13 episodes and is the goriest/beautifulest anime ive ever watch.
Spice and Wolf is a great plot focusing on economics, trade, and peddling rather than the typical staples of fantasy such as swords and magic. Doesnt sound good but trust me its amazing
And about Tengen... Just watch it.

What, no one mentions Cromartie High School?

Kyle (Napalmbrain) has mentioned most of my favorites, but I would add "Samurai Champloo" to the list, highly recommended.

There's also FLCL, Witchblade, Genocyber, and KARAS.

I love FLCL. Although its really hard to understand. First you have to understand that whatever you think might be going on... is wrong and you have to stop thinking.

Regardless of all posts above, I believe you should watch:
  • Wolf's Rain
  • Death Note
  • Lucky Star
  • Azumanga Diaoh
  • Chobits
  • The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
