I know, you can curve around the ledge and such. I once curved over Marth's F-Smash.. it felt so great. Haha :P

And yeah, bair has insane lag, but it has a very long duration (it will beat spot dodges). Nair has alot of lag too dude, well, alot compared to other nairs of same style (spinning with hands out - compare it to ness' quick and dirty one and peach's).

Extreme speed can be ok, I just wish it had more uses like Mewtwo's upB (it was faster and more useful than all of his dodges)

well, yea, you can't compare Lucario to Ness or Peach, both who have intense air game. Lucario is probably the definition of slow character, more so than the heavies. Sort of makes him interesting for me though.

He's not that slow to be honest. His range more than makes up for it. If you look at his attack range, you'll find that he's really fast when you take that into account. All of his attacks have at least 2 hits too, and are very useful. His F-Tilt has two hits with good range and it's very quick, making it very useful. Same with his bair, Usmash, F-Smash(although the hits are closer together), Uair I think, Dair (those are obvious), and Nair.

He's still slow though, you just don't notice it much. When an Ike player smashes you first...you know the character is slow.
Range is Lucario's game, not speed. You build up damage with aura sphere and combos, and Utilt and Nair work great for defense purposes (not counting Double Team). It's why he owns MK: MK is all about in-your-face beating, something which Lucario can repel with his eventually ridiculous range.

He's only slow if you play him with only his slow moves. Really, there's no "slow" characters in brawl, just slow moves. Slow running speed, yes (LOL GANON), some characters have moves with slow warm up or cool down timers, yes, but no character is just plain slow. You could say IKE IS SO SLOW, but then we'd know that you're someone who only spams forward smash.

Lucario's up smash is fast, but it's very punishable if you miss. It has two spaced out hit frames though, so if they spot dodge, they'll get hit by a slightly weaker hit anyways. Down smash is pretty quick with good range, and it's totally BADASS. His front smash is very powerful with insane range, and for some reason if you keep smashing the c-stick, you skip warm up timers, so you can spam the crap out of it in the same direction to hit people if they spot dodge.

I can see your point, but he nonetheless feels slow. I normally play with the likes of Sonic, and using a character like Lucario usually involves thinking what to do before doing it. With Wolf or Sonic I just leap at them and let 'em rip.
Same goes for Samus, I actually have to plan ahead. Sure, they all have fast and slow moves, but to string one and the other together is a different affair than doing so with faster characters.

And I don't find Dsmash quick at all, and it's range is squat compared to Fsmash. But it is awesome when it's done, it's like Mewtwo's but on both sides.

I've been playing TL too. I can't stick with just ONE character. :P

Mewtwo was my all-time fav, and Lucario is the next best thing, so it's only natural.

And I get ya...I'm using Wolf, Lucario, ROB, Samus, Toon Link (to see what dorkfish fusses about), Game and Watch, and Pokemon Trainer. There's a hidden joy in winning with different characters.

Perhaps later, I'll be moving in a week so my connection may improve.

My fav. for today was game and watch...I can see why he's a riot, you can Dsmash after almost anything without lag and kill super early.
