I find myself using both equally, but in a tournament (if I I was limited to using Ganondorf or Capatain Falcon), I would choose Captain Falcon because his speed is better than Ganondorf's.

Just hitting A (on the GCN controller) throws the person back. One of Ganondorfs punches can knock a person of the stage. That right there makes up for the speed of CF. Ganondorf is great at 1 vs 1 and okay at 1v1v1v1, Opposite with CF. CF is too fast for 1v1 and his moves aren't strong enough to keep the person off the stage. He is good for 1v1v1v1 because he can get away faster so he doesn't just get trapped between 2 people.

He was great in melee. As least to me. He was high-tier easily in Melee, now he's down in the low-tiers...

LOL. Ike is the fastest heavy in terms of running speed and approach. He has the best neutral A combo in the game as well. He's easily the easiest to use heavy character, and one of the best.

Ganondorf eats C.Falcon alive. Why? Because Ganondorf's moves come out as fast as falcon's, except they KO you at 40%. He also has a few combos. His meteor smash kills Bowser at O%. Contrary to what most believe believe, a good number of his attacks come out fast. Neutral A, F-Tilt, D-Tilt, U-Smash, SideB, DownB, UAir, Bair. Ganondorf is easily one if not my favourite heavy characters in the game.

It's how you use him. Spamming smash attacks doesn't work as a heavy character (people will never understand this - and yes I'm looking at you, Star Fox universe characters).

captain falcon main approaching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

believe it or not, fox used to be my main in melee. i was waiting ti play as him again in brawl. the moment came but it sucked. i was disappointed with fox. then by random chance, my thing landed on cf. i decided to try him out. it was love at forst sight (not literally) i was ownaging with him. i have mastered his down meteor smash and i have yet to master his knee of justice.

Ganon for 1-on-1, and Cf for Free-for all.
Also, I agree with ZEROLASER, ganondorf does get out his moves faster.

its not really that his moves come out faster... because they don't... none of them.... all moves come out slower. meaning that the hit boxes become apparant much later after pressing the button.

for example:
the knee compared to that giant punch.

the knee has an almost instantanious hit box (which you should know because it is in these initial frames that you can sweet spot the move)

whereas you have to wait for ganon to wind up his arm before he throws it forward therefore creating start up lag.

what hurts CF now is not the quickness of his attacks, its the height of his short hop. in melee you could short hop and immediately do ANY aerial into the opponent and it will connect... barring a shield of course. in fact you could do this with any character in melee. this is why shffling was so huge. but in brawl there is less gravity so if yuo try this especcially with CF your attack will go over the head of the opponent so now to connect it you must short hop, fast fall and THEN pull your move out... giving your opponent valuable frames to counter. this is the main reason why CF is weaker than he was in melee. NOT his actual move set.

cf is awesome in ariel games. just make a stage with springs as the base and ull own with cf provided that u are good with meteor smashes. as said before, ganondorpf is good against slower opponents because he just cant catch up to projectiles and fast chars with good attack combos especially in a big stage like temple or new pork city.

priority? you mean comparatively? k well first i'll have to explain priority to you because most don't know that there's two different types.

the first is whith regards to disjointed hit boxes. its simple. all it means is that there is a portion (if not the whole thing) of your hit box that is NOT also your hurt box. it comes up with object wielding character's. for ex: marth's sword is his hit box but if someone else's attack connects with his sword it does nothing. for this reason characters like marth and ike have very high priority in this way because of their long disjointed hit boxes. (i can explain more into this if you need)

the second kind relates more to CF and ganon because neither has a disjointed hitbox. and its when both characters do a move and both character's hit boxes hit the other character's hurt boxes at the exact same time.

case in point:
marth and CF both do a c stick towards each other and CF's elbow connects with marth's body at the EXACT moment that marth's sword hits CF's head.

at this point the character with more priority NOT RELATED to the first kind of priority i meantioned will over ride the other character's attack.

note that this second type of priority does NOT exist in the air. aerial moves only have properties for the first type of priority involving hit boxes so if two connect at the exact same time in the air the moves will either clank or more likely, the characters will trade hits.


now for CF/Ganon specifics i'm not EXACTLY sure i'll look it up for you but for the most part the very fast characters have very low priority. so i would assume that ganon takes the nod for priority. but i will get back to you

i prefer capt. falcon myself. ganon is just too slow for me and i'm not a big fan of his smash attacks.

to be honest, neither of them are very high on my favorite characters list.
