Hmm, I just figured everyone should be balanced or else the game would be pretty cheap when using certain characters against others... But it all really depends on skill.
no not cheap. it would be smash brothers. predictably unbalanced just like its predecessors. when you take a game to the level people take this game there is no perfect balance. that would take a decade of tweaking.
case in point: street fighter
and PPLEASE people stop hating on jiggly... i'd say that about 60-70% of competitive players have her as a sub. use the floatiness to your advantage

60-70%? Try 20-30 or 10-20, and if that not true than a source if you will?
Jigglypuff is WAY too light weight. At 0 percent a correctly timed up b from almost any character will kill her. For example she's floating over the edge, you use marths up b, the tip hit her and she goes flying.

its been like 6 years since melee came out. i meant that to make it perfectly balanced they'd have to make the game as like a beta or something, test it, tweak it, and repeat over the NEXT ten years. no game is worth waiting 15 years lol there's just too many variables to make it perfectly balanced. they did what they could. and hey who said being unbalanced is all bad? in melee there's a sense of pride when you beat your friend's main with your pichu. lol brawl will eventually evolve into that sorta process

One you understand Wario then you will find that his punches and hits are really strong, but he is a fast character. His recovery is great, his B is really useful (for eating items) and his Down B does suck a little but if you charge it, then it is almost always an auto-kill.

Jigglypuff is one of the most useful characters in Brawl. Don't mess with a pro when he's using JigglyPuff.
The worst characters I think are Pit and Ike because they are used way too much.
I will beat ANY pro with jigglypuff. You give me Ike and that jigglypuff will have four stocks gone in less than 3 minutes. Not because I'm good or even half good, because Ike has a 100% chance of killing jigglypuff with any smash attack.

haha you have no idea what you are talking about....
worst character in brawl.....if I had to pick, then i would say no one. For example...Haha, olimar sucks in 4 player battles, but one on one his pikmin throws when you are far away, and moderately strong smashs at close will piss you off, i thought he sucked until i learned to play him for 1v1's.
My most hated character is wario, only because my style cant adapt to him yet. Im melee, i thought luigi was stupid until i learned shiek, and then i adapted to luigi, and hes been my main ever since. THERE IS NO WORST CHARACTER. For any one person you single out to say hes the worst, there is a guy out there who loves that character and could beat you with him.
