From all the matches I've been in, all characters are deadly if used correctly. I personally believe Captain Olimar is the weakest. Very few players pick him, and he has to pull out minions during battle, which means he's one of the few characters with downtime. His moves aren't that strong, and during boss battles I had the hardest time with him. Overall, just from playing him, I had the hardest time trying to clear classic, boss battles, target practice, and all star mode.

A character can't be appropriatly evaluated after playing them a few select times. Some characters are easy to 'pick up and play' and others are not, however, this difference gives no insight whatsoever into a character's potential.

I disagree with Olimar and Zelda/Shiek. Zelda I would still put in the 2nd tier and Olimar somewhere in the middle.
