I know, Seph, Work, and that other guy use it all the time. The trick is to air-dodge, roll dodge, or d-dodge right before he grabs you again. Also, you can try to predict when Dedede is going to grab you.

dedede is relly fun to fight...but he blows...

and he has a rolling attack witch is useful for fast people like fox and such...

King Dedede is the only big character I main. This is because of his cool hammer attacks which blow the oponent off the stage at 46!

The best heavyweight is wario because he's not insanely slow.

Also, King Dedede is much better in 4 player matches than in 2 player matches because your enemies are more easily distracted while you charge up those slow-yet-awesome smash attacks.
