Well, I got to thinking: shouldn't the Black Knight be a character in Brawl? This thread is for discussing his potential moveset.
ANNOUNCEMENT: The thread is officially changing! It is now: Fire Emblem Characters you would like to see in Brawl and Their Potential Move Sets!
So far, we only have one move set:
The Black Knight:
Overall: The Black Knight is rather slow in terms of running speed. Slower than that of Ike. But in terms of attacking speed, he is somewhat quick, or at least, faster than Ike.
Normal Attacks:
A: The Black Knight makes a single diagonal strike. Damage: 7%.
AAA: The Black Knight does a figure eight with his blade for the first two attacks, and then stabs in front of him. Combined Damage: 25%.
Smash Attacks:
Side Smash: The Black Knight does a horizontal strike in front of him. Uncharged: 6%. Fully Charged: 19%.
Down Smash: The Black Knight spins low to the ground, and does one complete rotation. This ends up so that he attacks in front of him twice (once when he begins to spin, and once when he is completing the rotation), and in back of him once. If both attacks in front hit, the damage uncharged is: 10%. Charged, the attack does 22% if both attacks hit.
Back Damage (the swing in the back) : 4% uncharged, 10% charged.
Up Smash: Smilair to Marth's, but slower. Uncharged: 9%. Charged: 20%.
Jumps:
First Jump: The Black Knight's first jump is average, about the distance of Samus's first jump.
Second Jump: The Black Knight's double jump is a small teleport a bit less than the distance of a normal jump. The advantage to this is that you can't hit the Black Knight when he teleports, but he can't attack during the double jump and it isn't very long.
Throws and Grabs:
Grab attack: The Black Knight simply swings his sword at his enemy.
Side Throw: The Black Knight stabs his enemy, thrusting them away.
Up Throw: The Black Knight uses his powerful arms to grab his opponent's arm and throw them straight up into the air.
Down Throw: The Black Knight elbows his enemy downwards, and slightly diagonal in the direction he is facing.
Special:
Down B: Parry. The Black Knight parries the attack, and then attacks himself. The initial parry is very quick, but because he does this first the second attack can sometimes be dodged. Damage: The attack does 1.3 times the damage of the attack from the enemy, with a minimum of 12% damage.
Up B: Warp. The Black Knight warps upwarps about the distance of a Fox Phantasm, but slightly more distance. When he reappears he swings his blade. Damage: 12%
Neutral B: Eclipse
Black Knight attacks the opponent directly in front of him with a flurry of slashes, each slash doing 6% damage. While attacking, if the first strike hits, the opponent becomes temporarily paralized (sp?), and remain in that state for the duration of the attack. Without charging the attack, Black Knight only does 2 slashes, for a total of 12% if they all hit. However you can charge it up (it's a moderate charge speed) to increase the number of slashes, but the damage stays the same for each slash (in other words, charging it up doesn't make each slash do more than 6%). Fully charged, the Black Knight does 5 slashes, for a total of 30% if they all hit. The attack doesn't have good (in fact, it has almost NO knockback, but it knockbacks more than say, Sheik's throwing darts) knockback, but it's used primarily to bring the opponents damage up FAST.
Side B: Air Wave. The Black Knight Swings his sword at a slow speed. When the sword hits the ground (or just at the end of the swing if you're in mid-air), a vertical wave of energy is unleashed from the sword. Charge Time is very brief, but the actual swing speed is only as fast as Ike's side smash. Damage uncharged: 6%. Charged: 18%.
Final Smash: WARP ECLIPSE
This is a custom final smash. The Black Knight raises his hands into the air slowly. Anyone close on either side of him will be lifted into the air, just above the top of the stage. The Black Knight warps around quickly, attacking after each warp. The more people the Black Knight catches in his attack, the less damage it does to each of them. Like this:
-Black Knight catches one person in FS: 75% damage (usually an instant K.O, the Final Smash has high knockback)
-Black Knight catches 2 people in FS: 50% damage to each (if the character has below 50% initial damage, there's a good chance they'll survive)
-Black Knight catches 3 people in FS: 25% damage to each (Almost never an instant K.O) After six warps, the Black Knight hits the victims sideways.
I need your help and feedback to fine tune his abilities. The only thing that's left now is air "a" attacks, and tilt "a" attacks.

Reason: Revising Move Set
This would be his outfit, i suppose I will talk about it too, once I go on lunch!
What the heck are you talking about? Are we talking about the same Black Knight? Look at my signature! I'm talking about the Black Knight from Fire Emblem. You know, where Ike is from!

Hey, looks like a neat game though, and the character would be awesome.
I'll go get the game though I never saw it on shelfs where I am at, perhaps I should check EBgames more carefully.
Fire Emblem worth it to play? JW.
Thanks
Also, where is Marth from? what game Fire Emblem as well? or? thank you
I play smash all the time, but don't know where all the characters come from, well only those two actually.

In the future, edit your posts; double posting is tabooed. But anyways, Marth is from a Japan-only FireEmblem game. Fire Emblem Path of Radiance is amazing! Definetely (sp?) worth it. Radiant Dawn, however, I've heard is very difficult. BUY PATH OF RADIANCE (it's for the gamecube). It's really good. But keep in mind: It's a strategy game, not an action game. But I found it really fun and I like brawl, so maybe you'll like it to.
NOW THAT THAT'S TAKEN CARE OF, IT'S TO DISCUSS! Feel free to discuss.

Here's what I think about a couple of the attacks, as well as a few notes:
Neutral B: Rapid Slash
Black Knight attacks the opponent directly in front of him with a flurry of slashes, each slash doing 4% damage. Without charging the attack, Black Knight only does 3 slashes, for a total of 12% if they all hit. However you can charge it up (it's a moderate charge speed) to increase the number of slashes, but the damage stays the same for each slash (in other words, charging it up doesn't make each slash do more than 4%). Fully charged, the Black Knight does 8 slashes, for a total of 32% if they all hit. The attack doesn't have good knockback, but it's used primarily to bring the opponents damage up FAST.
About the Final Smash: I think that the more people the Black Knight catches in his attack, the less damage it does to each of them. Like this:
-Black Knight catches one person in FS: 75% damage (usually an instant K.O, the Final Smash has high knockback)
-Black Knight catches 2 people in FS: 50% damage to each (if the character has below 50% initial damage, there's a good chance they'll survive)
-Black Knight catches 3 people in FS: 25% damage to each (Almost never an instant K.O)
Also, just to be cool, the Black Knight's double jump is a small teleport a bit less than the distance of a normal jump. The advantage to this is that you can't hit the Black Knight when he teleports, but he can't attack during the double jump and it isn't very long.
Very creative, GigaRidley! All your points make sense. I will add them to the "official" move set at the top of the page. Do you think I had the right damage amounts for his other attacks?

Wait a bit...they omitted something with Ike that I think was a crime, and it shouldn't be omitted with the Black Knight.
In Fire Emblem, both Ike and the Black Knight send waves when they swing their blade, allowing them to also attack long range. Why this didn't become one of Ike's special moves I don't know. So how about actually giving it to the Black Knight?
Also, slower than Ike...wouldn't he basically be as fast as a wall? frankly, I gave up on the black knight once Ike was revealed to be slow. Why not Soren? a sage with very significant history who is also Ike's best man, and who would be faster sounds better. Micaiah and Sothe also have more potential, especially Sothe.
there is a create your own character moveset thread already.
Well, doesn't the Black Knight deserve his own? Besides, this is for discussing it more than just for showing it to people.

Completely forgot about that. I'll think about it.

If you look back, I said his running speed was slightly slower, and that his actual aattacks are somewhat faster (because of his style). And if you look at some of his specials, like rapid slash and "warp," then you'll see that he makes up for it.

nice list man, i think he should be a lil more powerful with those smashes, fully charged 15% is kinda weak for a heavy char dontcha think?
You're definitely right. I edited it.

If there even is one... Hopefully Sakurai was wrong and there will be downloadable characters through a "Smash Channel" on the wii. But that may not happen, unfortunately. I'm kind of stuck on ideas for his mid-air "a" attacks, as he's not a character that was ever in the air in his own games. But I'm sure I'll think of something.
