It is a rumour, please don't question me about my hockey sense either, I love hockey and I know quite a bit about it, it just makes me mad when people like you say things like:
"Elias isnt a free agent their chief...and sorry for the double post."
Seriously I know he isn't, I have only been following the free agents since July 1st, but alright.

ok freak read my post i apologized because i was scrolling up so i read your comment on elias before the rumor thing that syntax posted. god chill out. i know tons about hockey too, and ive been following it since july 1st as well cause i wanted to know about gomez and rafalski. but if i had to guess those rumors arent going to happen with vancouver, it was elias for ohlund and a goalie, but the devils signed K.Weekes to be the backup, so i doubt theyll go out for another goalie. plus they lost gomez, theres no way there gonna hurt their offense even more by losing elias.

Alright its fine, but that deal with the leafs could still be possible, devils need a defenceman don't they, and maybe if they don't sign souray, they will inquire about Mccabe.

yeah your right its a definite possibility, but hopefully they will sign Souray, cause i probably wouldnt be able to survive losing gomez, and elias or gionta in the same month.

Yeah I just want to get rid of Mccabe's huge contract lol.
But he is a good defenceman still, don't get me wrong.
As for souray I'm just surprised he hasn't been signed yet.

yeah i know right. maybe hes stuck in the middle of negotiating with like 3 teams or something

i wouldnt be suprised actually.

He had eight points with the kings last season, and is more of a fighting defencemen.

why do you doubt that...ive heard rumors as to the devils are trying to get him...and Souray can take as long as he wants. cause hes obviously going to sign with someone before the season starts...its only a matter of time now.

and GAY the devils start the season on a 9 game road trip...wtf?

I doubt that because Lou does not want to pay over 6 million for him.
Last I heard the sharks have the cash and are interested.

hmmm thats true. oh well. its a decision for him to make probably whats best for his family too, it may come down to whats easiest for the family, and instead of going to the entire other end of the country he can stay close in NJ

yeah yeah! probably wont decide anything but YEAH!

and yeah syntax it does suck. and the devils play the canucks this year, in Vancouver!

we don't have the cash, unless he signs a one year deal.

we have 7 RFA and UFAs next year including:

Milan Michalek, Steve Bernier, Joe Pavelski, Matt Carle, Patrick Marleau (UFA, will be resigned), Curtis Brown, Patrick Rissmiller.

still, itd be nice to have him and JT on the same powerplay. but only for a one-year deal.
