it comes with a dock for charging it.. so you wont loose it..... it will always be on the dock charging :-P
and it controls lots of devises you like connect it to you comp and put in the Model # of the devise

I sell and use one we have set up on a TV at work. Honestly they aren't worth the money unless you have at least 4-5 componenets to control.
