I have about 300 or so written songs, mostly about bad relationships, but I also have a lot of songs talking about violence or sex in a messed up world, war, government, armageddon, suicide, mainstream hating, etc. Maybe I'll post a few of my better songs later.
I just wrote this today. This song isn't a true story, but it could easily relate to someone. Kind of a long one.

For me, writing songs take maybe 20 minutes-3 hours! As long as you practice, have good writing skills, have mostly complete sentences, and your ideas don't stray heavily from the subject of the song, you can accomplish a lot.
