the nikki and paulo episode was a treat for the long time viewers, to see the less important people during the big moments of the show. i know that the writers strike contributes, but this season has been almost ALL questions presented, and no answers. i'm not saying i didn't like it, it's just been the worst so far, mystery wise.
Agreed, though you have to admit that the way those two kicked it was fantastic. O_O
I know it's meant to be a sad moment, but I was cheering.

I think this season was great. Although I would have liked the original planned 16 episodes, the writer's strike helped in some ways, because it meant they had little time to waste on filler material, whereas about a third of season 3 could have been cut out without any effect on the overall plot. Also, for such a small season there's been quite a few good episodes (2, 3, 5, 9, and 11, and the finale). My only major complaint with this season was that it had a bit too much focus on the Oceanic Six, and not enough on the rest of the cast.

great season in my opinion. i like that a lot of info was shoved in your face fast. the last 3 seasons was like one answer an episode and season 4 was a little more than that.

i still feel like there should be ten more episodes to explain what the hell has been going on!
Funny, because I thought this was the best season since the first. The season where Kate, Sawyer and Jack had been captured (Season 3?) was the worst in my opinion. It didn't really do anything for me.
Anyway, I really didn't like the part about with the wheel, it was really poorly done I thought.
Anybody else catch the irony in Sayid throwing out the inflatable boat right before they crashed? A few minutes earlier they had been throwing at *everything* without even looking to see what it was. How lucky they didn't throw that out!

That scene was just... bizarre.

Good point, although the lifeboat would probably be so light that it isn't worth throwing out.

Ok...a point to bring up...WHERES THE MICHAEL AND JIN LOVE! THEY FRIECKING DIED PEOPLE. I liked Jin and thought he was a good asset to the show...Michael was a cool guy too. For one thing, I don't think Michael is dead...there is still something going on between him and Sun that needs a bit more explination. Also, I really don't think Jin is dead either, they'll figure out someway to show they survived next seeason...hopefully

Yeah, that's another thing I was meaning to bring up. I was really disappointed to see the boat blow, there were some really good characters on there. Sorry Marioman, but I don't think there's any logical way to bring them back.
Also, should we assume that all of the people in the ferry that were on their way to the boat died at sea as well? They hadn't made it to the boat yet...

Nah. They can't kill off Daniel yet, there's still too many questions.
As for Jin and Michael- that was a mighty explosion. I honestly can't see them surviving it. Christian appeared to Michael to say "You can go now" presumably means the Island is done with him and will now let him die, and as for Jin... even if he somehow survived the explosion, he's stranded in the middle of the ocean and can't get back to the Island.
Oh yes, and was it just me, or were a lot of the special effects in this episode rather crap?

wow... so many things to comment on...
I will probably be jumping around here for this post so bear with me.
First off: Claire and Arron? Wtf? Was she foreshadowing what Ben said to Jack about they all have to go back?
I was freaking out when I saw Desmond on the airplane because I knew he didn't go back to the mainland with Jack and all them. And again when Desmond couldn't breathe, Desmond is by far my favorite character and I would hate to see him die off.
Jack really needs to shave.
I love CTV.ca
The frozen wheel part was strange, was it just me or did it look like where the wheel spun, in the spool type area thing... Was that fire? Also didn't Ben say that you didn't come back from moving the island? Or did Ben just survive because the island A. Loves him or B. Is full of miracles
Who/How did the bomb on the boat get set off? It couldn't have been the main mercenary because he died with Ben and Locke.

Claire told Kate not to bring Aaron back, presumably to keep him safe. This contradicts what Ben told Jack, leaving Kate with a horrible decision in future seasons.

Yes, it was fire. Kind of sad that you couldn't tell, right? Somebody already mentioned how terrible the effects were. I absolutely hated that part because it looked crap.

I'm fairly certain that he said the person who moves the island could never return [to the island], but don't quote me on that.

They were freezing the receptor to keep the chemical reaction from occuring. Did you even watch? xD
