Actually we don't really know who the Others are. They appear to pre-date Dharma's arrival on the island and then later wiped them all out (except for Ben of course).

Good news! Unofficial word is that with the writers' strike over, there's still enough time after all for more Lost episodes. So we may be getting a total of 13 episodes this season instead of the planned for 16 (and more than the 8 that were done before the strike).

i think its rediculous that thw numbers, such an intracite part of the show, could be given away outside of the show.

well, personally i try to stay away from the LOST experience for fear of spoilers, but i dont have a problem with other people lookin through it.
