It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Sure the team is sub par right now but Willie has a good record so far since becoming Met's skipper.
I would hope for you that this doesn't effect the team in the wrong way.

Yea he does, it was more then an "inside" job then his performance. The Wilpons (owners) didnt like Willie, they felt he didnt have the fire that the team needed, which is true but look who the fu<k you got in there now Jerry Manuel. Which from his days in the White Sox has shown he doesnt have that fire either. Idk, just blows my mind.

Willie Randolph has the 2nd best winning percentage(.544) in Mets history.
Talk to the players, don't fire the manager. Its a team full of allstars. If anything Omar should have gotten rid of their closer.

Hank Steinbrenner is a moron. Why don't you blame the AL for creating the DH so they could compete with the NL's offensive numbers. Excuse me for thinking that pitchers should be athletic and contribute something other than pitching every five days.
I love the fact that with the DH, the manager can sit there and basiclly make no major decsions that affect the game (ie- bunting, double switch, pinch hitting, pitcher management)

Wow, anyone else watching the Cubs/Sox game? Cubs just decided to show how potent their offense really is. 8 runs and still only 1 out.
As for favorite players, only two I can think of at the moment are Peavy and Griffey Jr.
EDIT: Cubs just got another run, Edmonds pops a solo shot, right after Ramirez popped a 3 run jack.
