Ehh, I understand...
I voted Wright (obviously) & Longoria to the AL....
EDIT: Speaking of all stars, I really think Jose Reyes got snubbed this year. You may be thinking I'm only saying this because I'm a Mets fan & he's in my sig. Don't get me wrong, there's no question that Hanley Ramirez is the right man for the job, but I don't think Miguel Tejada was the right choice as a reserve. Here's my case...
Let's have a look see at their numbers.
Miguel Tejada
AVG/HR/OBP/SLG/OPS/R/SB
.283/10/44 RBI/.324/.440/.764/58/7
Jose Reyes
AVG/HR/OBP/SLG/OPS/R/SB
.297/9/38/.357/.485/.842/64/31
Look at that, Reyes' slugging percentage is 45 points higher than Tejada's & has 33 more points in on base. Now compare Reyes' homers & RBI. Tejada's are higher, true, but consider the fact that Reyes doesn't trail him by much hitting from the lead off spot. I'm pretty sure Tejada floats around the 3-5 spot in the batting order. Now imagine if Reyes' was hitting around the same spot in the order, his OPS would probably shoot up too. IMO, he got snubbed...

Its hard to say why he didn't. Maybe its because of Tejada 2nd place finish, maybe its because Espn doesn't talk about the Mets unless they are in first of 2nd. Reyes does deserve to be there however. Don't worry, I know your not a homer

Looks like our game is going to be a pitchers duel, Blue.

Wow, what a game, the Mets were up 10-1 at one point & ended up winning 10-9!!! Wagner almost blew another one (man I'm really starting to get sick of him). I mean it wasn't all his fault, Beltran tried to throw out a runner at 3rd & ended up screwing it up & put the tying run on 2nd. But then again Wagner should have been backing up that play, so it was his fault too. But a win is a win & taking 3 of 4 from the Phillies is fine with me. 2 1/2 games back now, I can smell 1st place, can't taste it yet, but I can smell it. Only I'm a bit worried about facing Lincecum tomorrow, but Pelfrey has been solid this year so I hope he can keep rolling...
But wow, my neighbors called me up to see if I was ok, they said they heard my heart racing from next door...

Nolasco dominated as the Marlins beat the Padres 3-1.
I like Freddi Gonzalez so much better than Girardi. Freddi really goes to bat for his players. He isn't afraid to go out there and argue with an ump.

Sabathia is actually a good hitting pitcher, but they should really put a weight clause in his contract...
As for the Mets, Ollie put in an outstanding effort last night, only to get the ND after Wagner's blown save. That looks great, the day you get elected to the all-stars you blow a save. Honestly Wagner has really gotten on my nerves in the past year & a half, which is why I always hope most of the team's wins this year are at least 4 run games, which is also asking a little much at times. Now they need a win tonight. A split doesn't help them out. If they win, they go home just 2 1/2 games back. Hopefully Pedro can deliver a decent performance tonight, he needs it & the team needs it...
PS- Vote David Wright in to fill the last spot for the NL All Stars!!!

I've heard he's a good hitting pitcher but that was really just the one homerun he hit, its cool but its only one at bat.
If the Cubs get Harden I'll go Crazy and in no way is he like prior, he gets hurt a little less often. at least.
Hey Brian clear up some pm space.
Just putting it out there...
I really hate the Brewers.

you guys all said how you dont think the Brewers are gonna even make the playoffs...its funny cause i was watching ESPN and everytime they talked about the Breweres getting CC, they said it changes them from...maybe a playoff team, to a playoff team and a threat in the playoffs.
just funny how its complete opposite.

I'm sorry but they're not gonna catch the Cubs & don't have much of a shot at the wild card either IMO & just a small FYI Sabathia is 10 for his last 11 at bats. Who knows, maybe he can keep that up, maybe not...

Did not know that...
Brewers def won't win the wildcard, not with the cards, Marlins, Dodgers and Braves. Rockies are coming back... you never know. The Braves should heat up as long as they don't get rid of Tex.

Well I'm hoping none of those teams get it if the Mets don't win the NL East...

Even though they are only 1 game back in the wild card, its going to be tough. C.C. is a pitcher, so he only is going to play every five days. He can make an impact but not as much as a star position player.

Who was the only player to be selected for an all star team, then traded and played for another?
I woulda guessed Paul Lo Duca but it was the fish and the dodgers he was traded to.

Mets win, Phils lose. Only 1 1/2 back. Pelf shined tonight & outperformed a great pitcher in Lincecum. Big Pelf is having quite a year & has won I think his last 5 starts & has been rolling!!! Beltran, Delgado & Tatis all homered in a 7-0 shutout. Let's keep the momentum going!!!
PS- Sabathia is victorious is what you could call his, uhh, deBrew?? LMAO that was corny but I had to say it...
