Pirates avoid the Sweep.

Fish lose 9-2.

Any Blue Jays fans out there? I'm totally impressed with their sweep on Boston, even if it was mostly due to errors. Frank Thomas hit a lovely grand slam today, it doesn't get any better for Toronto fans than that.

I must be honest, I didn't expect the Jays to win more than 1 in that series, so I am definitely impressed with them. "The Big Hurt" Frank Thomas, I'm glad he's still playing well.

Unfortunately Chris Young can't keep a lead, Padres were up 2-1, but gave up a single to Ethier who then stole second, then Martin doubled scoring Ethier, ugh, oh well. He's definitely upped his control from his last start, but Young still needs to work on it.

Cubs pulled it out after blowing a 7-0 lead in 12 innings.

Padres won 8-4, I'm a happy camper, should've been 8-1, but Enrique Gonzales blows.

I hope the Rays can pull off a win and win the series in New York, that would be sweet.

Marlins pitching just won't shut down the NAts.

We blew a 7-3 lead and the Fish are contantly on the ropes.

8-6 Fish in the 7th and the Nats have bases loaded.

I bet you Marlins fans are loving that Andino guy.

Maddux pitched quite well today, I was happy. Then we bring in some idiot Enrique Gonzales? Whoever he is, gives up 3 runs in the 9th, but luckily he had an 8-1 lead going in.

Of course it was the Giants so I mean we should be winning easily.

They have Lincecum on the mound tomorrow so it will actually be a challenge to get the win, but I liked how Wolf looked in his first start so should be a good game.

So far he has 5 AB's with 3 hits. 2 of them were HR's.

I feel great for the guy. He has been trying to make the team for the past 4-5 seasons and always is in the last cut. He has always had a great SS to keep him from making it.

Alex Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez.

Big day for the Mets..last home opener at Shea. Hope they can get this win, but its gonna be tough against the Phillies.

I'd have to agree with you on him having some stiff competition.

Phillies are definitely a challenge, who do the Mets have on the mound?

Good to have an early lead, but why is Perez getting taken out? Struggling or just too many pitches?

Well the "Muts" blew it again...fricken offense isnt doin anything...and Delgado had a HUGE error that cost us 2 runs to tie the game, had a double play ball and he hit Utley right in his back.

Final 5 - 2 Phils...God it hurts to write that.

What a final opening day at Shea

I'm sick of Scott Bloweneweis.
Perez looked okay today, least he kept us in the game.
Looks like it's gonna be a long year with Heilman, again.
They (Keith, Gary & Ron) even pointed out how much of an angle Delgado had to throw to Reyes.

God that game made me sick...

Only pitcher I though we would have trouble with and what do you know, we lose in 11, thanks to Molina. Ugh...

Oh well its only one game, but damn, the Giants? Lincecum needs to get on a better team, he's the only bright spot on that horrid team.

Lincecum & Cain need to get outta San Fran & maybe even Barry Zito would be better off starting over with a new ball club (not to mention a better pitching coach). Why waste young talent??

& PS- I hate every Molina in the league except for Gustavo who 1) happens to be in the Mets farm system & 2) isn't related to the other 3.
