Well, I don't know...I grew up listening to U2 so they're kind of in my blood. I do agree about Coldplay sometimes though...they are good and all but the cockiness...eh...I could go without that. They've had some good hits though. I really got into U2 after seeing them live...it was nuts. I understand U2 has a huge following of bashers, but people at U2 concerts are some of the coolest people I've met!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Chris Brown. His new "song" 'With You' Makes me want to cry. Oh yeah, and Lupe Fiasco.

I'm in no way shape or form calling any of these people talentless. That would be laughable for me to say. I'm a musician and a singer. I aknowledge and respect the talent in all three bands, I just personally cannot stomach their music.
Oh, I also hate U2, Arctic Monkeys, Mika, Blink 182 (but I like +44, weird).

Fair enough , I like to see you have opinions and thoughts to back it up. I hate when people say they dislike things and then not back it up.
And with Canadian music, for the most part anyways its handled well..especially the alternative or indie stuff, thats Canada at its best.

For me it's just country and the new rap that is released today. It's not really a specific band or artist because there's so many of them.

I will listen to most bands. I mostly like The White Stripes, due to the fact that they don't have any videos that are played 24/7 on VH1 so I don't get sick of the song. Also, Icky Thump is just awesome. Awesome guitar? Check. Awesome lyrics? Check. Creepy video with spanish subtitles? Check.
Another band that's pretty good is Five Star Iris. They are barely known, but I heard them at the NARM convention and they sounded almost EXACTLY like they do on CD. That deserves some props.
I'll listen to Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin... as long as it isn't before Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath, I'll like it. (Well, except for most of the hair metal bands.)
I despise rap (except a rare few Eminem songs) and country. Seriously, put down the banjo and pick up the guitar!

I hate the singers voice, the way he pronounces some words with his accent when he sings really gets on my nerves, wouldn't really call it rock
