I was making a WalMart run for supplies two weeks ago (I know, I hate the place too, but it was close to the camera shop i was at) and I found a DVD bundle
I got "The Mist" and "The Gathering" together for 20 bucks!.
If you Haven't seen The Mist yet I reccomend it. The ending is just insane.
Never seen the gathering, but I like Christina Ricci and heard it was good.

Nah we're just economical, no reason to buy dvds at their inflated price. Though having worked there I know they really don't mark-up dvds and cds as much as you would think.

Yeah it's not THAT big of a mark-up.
The biggest mark-ups HAVE to be in the footware industry. Costs what? 1$ to produce a pair of Nikes?

Haha, it's not very high that's for sure.
Biggest mark-up in an electronic store are speakers, for car and home, they're double or nearly double the cost. Exhibit A: Alpine Type R 12" Subwoofers, retail for $229.99, employee price, $105 and change. Exhibit B: Yamaha Receiver + 6 speakers + Wiring = Retail of about $1600, employee on same items $850.
