I've just finished reading the last book a few months ago and I was looking for info about the next and last movie and I've just found out on IMDB that it's into two parts is this true?

I heard that in a rumor, but if IMBD says it's true, then they're probably right.

Yep, I love all of the Potter books. And I love my Smash Bros too. No game beats it for local multiplayer.

They finnished up production of the 6th movie a little while ago. I think they are schedualed to shoot the last movie sometime next spring. Still we will not see the 6th movie untill at the earliest christmas this year and the 7th movie will not be untill 2010 time...

I think its a dumb idea to wait that long considering all the books are done, people are going to lose intrest in the series real quick without the book hype behind it. Of course the last movie will still hit record sales just because its the last one but number 6 will get the worst box office numbers out of them all this round I predict.

Out of all of them 7 could be the longest, I doubt 2 parter, maybe though they will wanna hype up the fight scene alot but there is alot in 7 they can shrink down like them hidding and running around for a good 1/3 of the book. Really 6 should be the longer one it has alot more detail and sets up the finnish that they can't skip out.
7 is pretty much Boom where back blah blah blah boom suprise fight fight fight then end, good still but not 2 films worth...

I started with the movies an my wife was into the book's by movie 4 i had to read the rest and there is alot you miss in the movies and clues they don't give you at all compared to the books. Honestly without the books I would be lost with the movies alone.

It's not stupid to wait that long, it's smart marketing, in my opinion. They can actually stretch interest in the series, keeping up sales of franchise items like action figures, broomsticks, scarves, that sort of thing. They'll be filming everything and probably be done in a year and a half, but they'll keep movie releases stretched out. You can't flood a market with movies in a series anyway -- viewers become fatigued, and there's no time to build anticipation. Warner is just waiting until all the superhero movie buzz (Iron Man, Hulk, Dark Knight) is done with before they start hyping Half-Blood Prince.

And yeah, it's true that it'll be two movies. Probably smart, given the amount of stuff that actually happens (and is necessary to the plot/resolution) in that last book.
