My two friends at college work at Odeon and got to see it on Tuesday. They said it's really bad and let the other three down. I refused to hear anything about it but I got told this one word and I dunno about this film now
What you think. He said it was a real let down?
Empire gave it a 4 stars but my friends couldn't shake the amount of disappointment it was

Seems like they're overreacting a bit...It got a good rating at the Cannes Film Festival...CANNES!!!
I'm gonna see it in 2 hours, I'll tell you when I get back...I highly doubt aliens...Unless they mean Cate Blanchett's wig, then I dunno.

Went to see it y/day, it was... odd.
I mean the thing in your spoiler was a little weird but if you think about it all the Indy stories were a little over the top. Indy beats the Nazis, them ghost things in the arc, stones with magical powers etc. Spielberg wanted to finish off Indys story mainly, I guess he managed this but it made the film lack the usual ammount of action in the films. I also thought there were a lot less "omg how is he going to get otu of this" moments.
It set up Shia for some more films though, which is apparently what's going to happen.

how did the ending suck its not like the other 3 werent about paranormal stuff ,besides it wasnt like aliens take over earth AHHG!it was just lost tribe who were taught and worshiped by aliens...i thought it was awesome.

The Monkey scene was also weird...

Why did he follow Ox? Indy goes on his own adventure on the other 3?

Besides the ending, I actually liked it.
And I haven't seen the first three. Watching the fourth sortof makes me want to buy them on DVD.

In part 3, his dad sent Indy his diary and then disappeared, so Indy went off to find him. The Grail was hid dad's quest originally.
In this one Ox gave Mutt a letter to give to Indy and then disappeared, so Indy went off to find him. The skull was Ox's quest originally.
