Can you guys and girls give me some opinions on my sig, like things I should do to it to make it better?

wow, manred ...this is an awesome sig.

• create another layer of your name
  • make the text a darker color
  • stack it behind your current text layer
  • then anti-alias the original layer a few times
    • this will shave a few pixels off the perimeter of the original name and allow the darker layer to peek around... it'll make the yellow mandred stand-out
  • make sense?
• while you're at it... rotate the name only half as much
  • i.e. instead of -33 degrees, maybe -15 degrees?
    

the sig looks really great, manred ... i think iron man has a great guerilla-like effect

is it PS or Gimp?

I used GIMP for this one and thanks for the tips. I'll try to edit it right now.

OH! if convenient, give a slight blur to the background... a setting of 1 or 2 (experiment)
leave ironman sharp

maybe no blur at all on the BG

Edit: Well, there's a problem, I was stupid enough to save it as .jpg rather than .png so I can't edit like anything, so I think I'll just try to create a better one.

peeked at a great Gimp book today ($45)... want it, but feel guilty @$45 when there is so much free online info.
i think the book would not bore me, though...

My new sig. I made most of the in GIMP and animated the Bear on Flash CS3, it is so easy to draw in Flash.

Paintbrush for the outline, Line tool for the shadow outline, and bucket tool for colour.
