considering you were not using filters as your main source of talent I would say thats a good thing. But not to lie, thats pretty beginner stuff there. Have you considered in investing in a Wacom Tablet, it will help if you ever want to really find what photoshop can do.

Yeah they can be pricey but worth it. I believe there is cheaper if you look online.
