Why not discuss it in the appropriate thread?
BEFORE ADDING ME ANYWHERE, PLEASE CONFIRM THAT WE'VE MET BEFORE/TALKED ALREADY.
Spoiler Alert!
I just got Netflix for my Wii and wanted to be able to watch in widescreen, so I bought and installed a Wii Component cable. I went into Wii settings and changed to 480p and Widescreen, but everything is still 4x3. My projector does 16x9. The movie 2012 streams to my computer in 16x9, but the Wii still sends 4x3 to the projector.
Any ideas on what I am missing?

My HDTV's default was a 4x3 setting, even when you set the Wii up in the 16x9 ratio, it stayed 4x3. To get in the format needed, I just needed to "STRETCH" the image to match my TVs 16x9 ratio.
Maybe that's why the projectors are not placing in that format. If you can't do that, then its because it cannot detect the difference between 720 or 640x480 when using component cables.
Widescreen 720x480
Full Screen 640x480
