Just great folk music.
since we have a very international community i thought it would be cool to share some music that most members would be unfamiliar with. only two rules: 1 no mainstream BS and 2 stuff without much offensive content.
some of my favorites:
Strapping Young Lad (00's metal)
Elevator To Hell (later renamed Elevator Through, 90's alternative)
Rusty (90's alternative)

A cover band WITH A DIFFERENCE
comments so far:
@lazy jack- peel the onion was annoying at first but it grew on me pretty fast. amazed that the two youngsters played so well.
@shoot2kyll- i'm surprised i never heard of underhero before, it sounds like something the mainstream would pick up. Kissinger was cool too.
@Dprinny- Big Elf rules! i have a friend with a huge cd/tape/record collection and i doubt he has any of them. i will reccomend it to him.
@adtr123- we had the current metal scene discussion before and i will get back to that when i'm in the mood.
keep 'em coming guys!
did you get what you came for - calliope
I like this songs cause it has a kickass sitar part (I think it's sitar)
Heres another you might now.
Joe Bonamassa (also in Black Country Communion a kinda super group with Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham, Derek Sherinian) Also has a radio show on offical great station Planet Rock (B.C.C did there first album on there live exclusively)
Bit like some of Gary Moores stuff

Not really funny Blues stuff
Theres a lot of rock stuff he does
Burning Hell and Walking blues stand out as not really Blues (off the last album I listened to)
