Warner Bros. Interactive has today released the first screenshots taken from its highly anticipated new LEGO game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. The screenshots show Batman and Robin, of course, as well as Superman and The Joker. Looks like Warner Bros. will have another LEGO hit on its hands when the game is released. Due for release in Summer 2012 for all major consoles including the Wii (no word about the Wii U as yet), the sequel to the 11-million-selling LEGO Batman: The Videogame complements the new LEGO Super Heroes: DC Universe toy collection. In the new game, the Dynamic Duo of Batman and Robin join forces with other famous super heroes from the DC Universe including Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern, in a bid to save Gotham City from destruction at the hands of the ever-fiendish Lex Luthor and The Joker.

“LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes further extends and combines both the Batman and LEGO videogame experiences to create very fun gameplay,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Fans of all ages are going to enjoy the action and light hearted humour that TT Games and LEGO provide.”
