Ubisoft has today revealed that the Wii U-exclusive platform game Rayman Legends will be released in the UK on March 1, 2013, with a demo to be released via the Nintendo eShop on December 13, 2012. Rayman Legends takes full advantage of the innovative Wii U GamePad to explore fresh multiplayer gameplay experiences beyond the traditional platformer. Players can use the Wii U controller to discover new ways to explore in the game, taking out enemies with touch-based gameplay, as well as clearing paths, and using gyroscope technology to manipulate and rotate platforms. You will also be able to continue playing the game on the controller screen even when the TV is turned off.

“Ubisoft is exploring new concepts in gaming by combining the innovative Wii Utechnologies with the marvelous art direction and creative ambition of the Montpellier team.” said Michel Ancel, creative director at Ubisoft.”
Rayman Legends retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor, Rayman Origins, while adding many more gaming modes, new characters, new environments, and a new soundtrack. The game also features a variety of uniquely themed levels, including musical maps set to creative soundtracks and a spooky medieval theme. Players will also be able to connect online with friends for challenges testing their skill and speed, and try and get to the top of the worldwide leaderboards. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers behind the UbiArt engine have also added multi-dimensional gameplay elements, an improved lighting system and improved graphics.
