Got my wii a week ago. Been great so far, but I thought the wii's were region locked, that is to say that I can't play Japanese games on a US wii. But.....I can. I think I purchased a modded one, but everything looks normal to me so far. I made the purchase in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Welcome to the forums Apocalypse. Japan and America are both NTSC, so the region issue shouldn't be a problem.

Well I'm not complaining, I just wanted to confirm that they were region locked. I remember reading about that before I purchased one. I'm also able to play pirated games on it, which are much easier to find here then the authentic ones.

Understandable. I'm not trying to advocate piracy, but I'm loving my wii. I just don't like many of the FPS games. I thought Red Steel would of been great, but after playing it, I'm not too fond of the controls. I still love the idea though, hopefully it will be improved if they make a Red Steel 2.

Medal of Honour: Heroes 2 has excellent controls apparently and supports 32 player online. You should have a look into that one, it releases soon.
