Gamecube game compatibility with Wii

Hi, just bought a wii console, and have been told Gamecube games can be used in the wii. Can anybody tell me if this is correct. cheers.

yes, but you will need to use either the gamecube controler or classic controler ( i think .. not too sure on that one)

Yes, the Wii is backwards compatible with all GC games, but you will need a GC controller to play your GC games with and a GC memory card to save your game data. Happy gaming.

There arn't many GC games worth getting, but Super Smash Bros Melee (SSBM) is a fantastic game! You must get it, even if only to get yourself ready for the release of SSBB next year!

yes but not with the wii's motion controls you need a gamecube controller

its worth getting gamecube games, they are so much cheaper any where from 5-20 euro im playing timesplitters 3 for gc
