Downloading updates

I just bought a used (like new) Wii and everything is fine. However, after I hooked up the WiFi connection, it asked me to download updates. It's now been about 15 minutes and it looks like only about 15% complete. It still says "do not turn power off, please wait a moment". Anyone know how long this takes and is my waiting time normal?

If it's taking an excessively long time it's probably not working. Try turning it off and starting again.

Thanks, I tried that and it seems to start good but then slows down after about 10 %. I believe this console was purchased early last year and maybe it will take a long time to download every new update since then. After it does go through, I'll try an update every 2 weeks or so.
