Did system update-had homebrew installed

I had homebrew installed on my wii and this morning my son accidently did a system install. Now the Wii has a black screen. I troubleshooted with Nintendo, nothing I can do but send it in. Question is, during the repair, will they find homebrew channel and if they do, does that void my warranty?
