Help on getting to the sky temple

WEll I just got out of the last temple and the bar lady
(sorry i forget her name) Tells me to go to Kelhaki or w.e village and talk to the guy in the basement. Well okay I did that and i talked to everyone else in the house but im very confused on hat im supposed to do because they all say the same thing over and over.

I think you use the wand thing and move the statue the guy was looking at.

use the wand to move the statue thats in the basement - this reveals a cave with a massive cannon in it. then transport the cannon to someone who knows a bit about cannons

<edit>you've got to make sure you have obtained all of the letters for the book to be able to unlock the statue so that you can move it. the letters are dotted round the lands and show up as red squirly shapes on your maps</edit>
