beginning the water temple

so i'm just inside the very beginning of the water temple, and i don't know what to do. i'm in the circular room with a big locked door in the middle, surrounded by a pool with pirahnas swimming around. i have no clue how to advance here...i'm stuck. help?

this was a bit tricky.
leave the room and go back into it (from the main enterance). go down the stairs and go to the right. jump off the ledge onto a lever, then follow the stairs up... im 99% sure thats how to get to the room you want. there should be two rooms once your on the top of the stairs, just check both of them (one is locked)... if that doesnt work, go back down the stairs and go to the left. MAKE SURE TO GET THE COCCU. seriously, that little guy is vital.

once you get into the room, you may fall upon some problems. it's a bit complicated. just ask.
