help, how do i get through the water fence?

When he is first turned into a wolf and that creatur goes through the fence and says do it ur self and he is in the water how do i get through the gate. the creature says look down.. Please help. tell me how to do it thanks

there is an opening to the fence some where.

you have to drain the water and then dig in an area to the bottom left of where "midna" is
