attacking lanturn

I was looking for rupees in lake hylia and a blue lanturn started attacking me. As far as I know, you cant kill it. Does anyone know if its killable or even what it is?

I'd assume you're talking about Skyward Sword, which I haven't played yet (and won't for awhile, damn you broken Wii T_T), but I'm 99% sure you're talking about a poe. They're lingering spirits, phantasms, ghosts, whatever you want to call 'em. You can't see their true form without an item or ability in some Zelda games, and thus, can't damage them.

If you're talking about Twilight Princess, then yeah, it's 100% definitely a poe.
