Wii In Dorms?

Ill be off to live in the dorms in a few weeks and started to wonder if (if the school broadcasts its own wifi) i could be able to use it's wifi with my wii, or would I need a wifi dongle?
I visited my friends a while back in her dorm and tried accessing here schools wifi broadcast and I needed to confirm my laptop to be the primary user of the connection with student ID, and was wondering if I would have to do something to go around this with my wii or will it just let me connect?

well shit, know what we gotta do, form a list of the connection possibilities with University dorms Nationwide... from Alabama State to.... Utah State?

Wouldn't you be better off asking the school your going to? Don't mean it in a nasty way just they'll know about things like that.. you can't be the first person to want to connect to the wifi soo just give em a ring or something
