I am pretty sure that the Core system does not come with a hard-drive. Anyway, I would personally go for the new Laptop/MacBook, since it is more important to keep up with your studies and also because the Xbox 360 is known to "die" unexpectedly.
But overall, it is your decision, so be careful with your choice.

What does the hd have to do with the xbox?

If I got a macbook then I wont have any money what so ever, but if I got the normal laptop i would probably be able to get a 360.

    So basically your options are:
    1. Pimped out comp, but you have to wait longer.
    2. Decent comp sooner + other stuffs.

For me, it would depend how old I was. If I was going into college or older, I would buy the more expensive laptop. If I was not yet focusing on college, I would get a decent laptop to hold me over until I get a good one for college.

Apparently, without a hard-drive, you cannot save your games or access Xbox Live. Check the Argos description:

    I am 13.

The only thing is, with the macbook I get the coolnes factor and some other things.

For me I would be fine with a normal laptop for a few years. I have like 2.7 years left in school before college, but I then plan on going into more further education in a university.

Ahh, the buying the premium with headset etc. might be better, but then I will not be able to get some wii games and 360 games...

    woah woah woah.

Your going into college before you turn 16!? (13+2.7=15.7) Or are you talking about highschool? When I said college I meant a university.

Well, year 9 has just started for me, then I have year 10 then 11.

    Thats when school ends.

After school I head to college for a few years, then to university for a few years.

My 2.7 is wrong, since I have only been back to school for 3 weeks, it feels like its been months >.>

I dont know how to explain this because I never knew that our school systems were so different. I'll just explain what I would do:

I am in grade 10 at high school. High school consists of grades 9-12, then I go to college. I would get a good laptop (probably a desktop, personally) towards the end of my 12th year of school, so that I have it going into college.

    EDIT: Thanks, Byuakuya.

So, if I were in your predicament, I would buy a decent comp now that'll just hold me over until your later years of College. Then, you can buy a good comp. for university.

The US and the UK education system are slightly different. What you refer to as "High school" is the UK equivalent of "College". "College" in the US refers to "University" in the UK. It is kind of confusing, but that is life.
