So, about that guy I lent 40 dollars to. It turns out that the relationship ended...so the present he got didn't rekindle the tension between them.

Oh well. Even though the 40 bucks didn't go that far on the surface, I felt good knowing that I stood by my friend through the rough times 'till the end. 40 dollars well spent, in my opinion.
