No, he doesn't. Brotherhood isn't the best game to enter the series on (it's the second worst, really). Obviously 1 is, but everyone is in such a damn rush they always ignore it and buy 2 instead. Bloody bigots...

So Two's the best? One seemed quite boring even though I never played it. Repitition was the flaw.

The best for gettin' into the series, yes. In my personal opinion, Brotherhood's single player was the very best (and as a whole, was the best AC game in the reasoning that it both greatly improved single player and introduced multiplayer to the series).

Either way, don't knock 1 until ya try it. It's very cheap used, so unless you're really hesitant 'bout gettin' into Assassin's Creed, you should give it a try. If you like it, odds are you'll absolutely love the rest of the series. If the only problem you have with the game is how repetitive it is, the same likely implies that you'll enjoy the rest of the series since game play repetition was solved quite well in II.

I might give it a whizz but I would have to get it on console. My Pc wouldn't be able to run it and I'd rather stay PC to be completely honest.

PS: Got PvZ and gave it a wee go. Done the first chapter and on the second. Game starts off super slow...

The problem with AC as a whole is the story/conspiracies. It's just.... bleh.

Trying to motivate myself to play: Hat Fortress 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, and Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

Indeed, it's as poorly illustrated in-game as FF7's story... If not worse. Particularly the conspiracy theories. I hear they're a lot deeper in the books, but I can't actually confirm that. Or claim it's from a reliable source.

YESH! Another person that isn't a FF7 fanboy and actually dislikes the story!

I'm fairly certain he's never even played the game. The story is weak though, filled with plotholes, confusing characters, and some other odd things. Of course, I prefer VI.
