Sorted out all the games night stuff for sale, didnt bother me much
This was the thing that got to me
One day, ONE day, I'll get around to trying Xenoblade again.
The Silence Bridge Guru
Hi yes, hello. I've been trying to get the hang of playing on a set of Donkey Konga bongos. I've got the hang of waveshining into double laser 360 half pipe bananarama, but I'm having a hard time smash attacking. How loud should I be clapping?
In the meantime, try Xenogears. It's more traditional than Xenoblade's mmo inspired gameplay. Plus, it's better in its own ways.
The game emphasises aggro, dps, positioning, the sorta thing unexpected from jrpg's. Most importantly, they're done well. You get loads of exploration, a rarity nowadays. Removes potions too, so no more spamming health. But unlike mmo's, it maintains plenty of it's jrpg roots. Among them the subtitular Monado, which is just as potent as the story makes it out to be while used as an in-game weapon. A great example of immersive gameplay.
Happy Thanksgiving, fellow Americans! And everybody else too, because even if we're often hypocritical about it, it has a good message at its core.
