Ohio is cheap (at least the Cincinnati area) and so is northern Indiana. Don't know much else other than those 2 areas but NY is pricey as all get out.

Only when it ain't frozen over, which certainly occurs more often than in the states.

As would I, but I've simply no place bein' there outside of what few "large" cities exist. That defeats the purpose of why I'd live within Alaska in the first place. Ain't easy t' find work when you ain't in an urban environment, no work means less reliance on electricity t' decrease bills, limited usage of electricity means less gaming... ;_;

On second though, living in a place with consistently cold temperatures might not be so bad. There's always been mosquito problems where I live anyways. I'll hardly notice it.

Alaska is not that bad, and very beautiful (the parts that aren't completely frozen)
But I have no idea about the internet connection with the rest of the world
