It's a touchy subject. There are things we are and are not allowed to talk about while out here, for safety purposes. I can say that I drive an MGS. Its sort of a tank with wheels instead of treads. But from what we are told the MGS isnt going to see much action out here. So I'll probably be doing foot patrols. Looking for IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices. Literally a bunch of garbage and home made explosives the Taliban have learned to Mcgyver together into shit that can do enough damage that ranges from blowing off your foot to destroying an entire vehicle.) Thats the most dangerous part of our jobs. The Taliban hide these IEDs pretty damn well sometimes. Some are burried in the ground or roads, some are disguised as something innocent like trash on the ground or a vase or anything you can think of. Sometimes they make them to specifically lure us in. Like disguising them as a pack of cigarettes or even a porno magazine. Imagine needing a smoke, finding a pack lying around somewhere, being dumb enough to check it, then suddenly your brains are all over the place. Not a pretty picture but it happens a lot.
