PIRACY ISSUES and MINIMAL MEMORY SPACE (subsequently loading times was significantly reduced) was the main reason Nintendo made their GC discs smaller than CD size. You really can't copy from a small CD to another. Also, I don't know of anyone who really prefers loading screens to the actual game when playing a video game. Sony seems to have it all mixed up XD.
The small discs made me buy it, when I saw it I was like oh just another console but then when it opened! Dundunduuun small discs and I fell in love![]()
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, “You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.”

I liked the small discs. They're cool. And they save space.
