does any one know if luigi's mansion will play on the wii and if so do you have to have the classic controller

( if you are asking why would i want a 6 year old game its because i didn't have a gamecube and would like to play one of its big games )

Every Gamecube game is compatible with the Wii and all play with the standard controller or wavebird controller. Not sure about other controlling methods like bongo's or dancemats...

I'm afraid not. No Gamecube games can unfortunately.

Though a title which is soon to be re-released for the Wii (and an amazing title at that) is Resident Evil 4, which WILL support (the Wii version only though) the wiimote and nunchuck.

But unfortunately Gamecube controllers are neccessary for all Gamecube games.

A GameCube controller is required to play GameCube games, as neither the Wii Remote nor the Classic Controller functions in this capacity.

True it may just be a rumour, but let's not forget now that some "rumours" can be true. Look at the newly announced NiGHTS game.

Also, I'm pretty sure that the video was a demonstration of how the Wii remote could be used with this game, rather than an official trailer for it.
