How do you reset the system (in other words reset to factory state) and will that affect it?

I had an update freeze less than 10% when I first got it, I just unplugged it and restarted the update and everything works fine

lol i did the exact same thing when i first got mine, it wasnt frozen per se but it was just taking to damn long so i unplugged it and it works fine. but i couldnt delay the inevitable so i had to update and wait.
